Training and development

From the beginning, our comprehensive induction means you can step into your role with confidence, even if it’s your first job in social care.

The learning doesn’t stop there. If you work with older people, you might need to learn about handling medication. Or, if you support children in residential care, psychotherapy techniques could help you de-escalate behaviour. Whatever your role, you’ll have an individual learning plan which develops as you do.

As well as new skills, you can gain new qualifications – from the SVQ3 in Social Care you’ll need for most roles, to higher level qualifications including an SVQ4, SVQ5 or an HND. And just as many of our Service Managers started with us in entry-level care or administration roles, your development will drive your career progression. With the breadth of services we provide, you could even have a career path across different areas – like moving from older people's services into substance abuse.

Wherever your ambitions lie, wherever your path takes you, we’re here to support your growth.
